As you are running your business you will have challenges. Decide now how you will react to them. Don’t become a victim of circumstance. Instead take responsibility. Remember to use every obstacle and challenge as an opportunity to grow and to learn about yourself.
Remember feedback is a good thing. If a client is sharing insight with you of how you could improve your services, listen rather than think they are complaining. Separate your emotions and take in the feedback to consider if there is something you could do even better. Take responsibility.
As you ride the waves in your business, experiencing highs and lows, stay focused on your vision of where you are going to pull you through the tough times. Having the goals you set in step #1 is key to keeping your focus.
Get your priorities straight!
Growing in your profession requires ongoing continuing education. Make investing in your professional development an ongoing priority. Ask yourself the question each day – What action did I take today to make myself more valuable?
By doing this you will have the confidence to charge what you are worth. Know what your hourly rate is and what your time is worth.
Successful people have successful habits. Most successful people read at least 30-60 minutes every day and write at least 30-60 minutes every day. Start there. In addition, seek out and learn from other successful people. Pay their hourly rate to soak in their knowledge and learn from their experience. Find someone who’s doing what you want to do and follow in his or her footsteps.
